Sunday Snow Day!

So usually I am saying Sunday Funday, but this Sunday was Sunday Snow Day and what a wicked day it was!

For the first time in forever it snowed a decent amount on a weekend which meant that people were around to muck around in the snow. Unfortunately most lakes were frozen over from the freezing temperatures over night so I wasn’t able to ride. So I thought I would amuse myself by being pulled along by a car on a wakeskate around Liquid Lesiure’s lake. (Not going to lie it was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be!) A few of us went around the lake on the skate trying different ways to stand/sit on it. After we had finished with the snowskating we headed to the Toby Carvery for a banging dinner!

So all in all is was a Sunday Fun Snow Day!

I have put together a very very quick edit of the video clips that we had. Its not very good but it was a lot of fun doing it!

January Weekend

So I have finally managed to get a weekend off of my busy work lifestyle!! haha. This weekend has defiantly been one of the best so far. I took a trip up to Box End Park on Saturday for a ride. It was super super windy on the drive up, I was thinking to myself this is going to be absolutely hideous out there, I was picturing a white capping lake! I was so surprised that the lake was glassy and ready for me to get out there and shred the G-nar! So not only did we have pretty good conditions I had a wicked ride. Trying out new things on the rails and starting to do air tricks again after my injury. I really felt like it was all coming back to me, it was great!

Sunday was also just as windy! But I braved the aching body and the wind and hit up JB Ski. Got there and the wind was blowing straight down the lake, which meant it was super super choppy. Still got out there for a quick sesh. After my ride I ended up burning my fluffy winter hat. Pretty gutted about that to be honest was a pretty nice hat!

So after an awesome weekend I think I am going to have to go and get a massage! Aching body is a sign of a good weekend of riding!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hope you all had a wicked christmas and new year.

2012 has a lot of cool things to come…

- Traveling to warmer climates to train. I am hoping to get to America, Snowake Bulgaria, Xtreme Gene, Hipnotics and many more places.

- 2012 competition season. It is always great to go to competitions and see all of your friends from around the world.

- Training hard at Lakeside Health and Fitness

- Ultra Sport Europe are going to be holding a few demo days for you all to come and try the new 2012 Liquid Force and Obrien gear. (Dates to be released, watch this space or their site).

- I am going to be a qualified Personal Trainer!

Ultra Sport Christmas Shoot

So on Tuesday most of the Ultrasport team headed to Box End for the christmas shoot that had been organized. The idea was that we would all jump over a christmas tree with presents and a snowman sitting by it.

When we arrived I wasn’t feel the cold as I was in a nice warm heated car. But when I stepped out of the car it was freezing!! So windy that the lake was white capping. So far from the best conditions. However the team still went out on the water and gave the shoot a good go and we got some pretty good shots out of it!

Rubbish Blogger!!!

Well… Its been a while! I am being a very rubbish blogger.. Boo to me!

Not much has been happening at the moment to be honest! I have started to ride again after having 4 months off with an poorly knee. I think everything thing is going ok with it but you can’t really tell in the winter as you are freezing and shivering and nothing seems to work properly!!

I am just taking things slow with my riding at the moment and trying to make sure that I don’t over do anything and just get my body back into riding with out hammering it hard!

Blog about The Ultrasport Christmas shoot will be coming up soon keep your eyes pealed for that it was a very fun shoot!

Once again a bit of a boring blog but thought I would write to say hello!!

World Championships Faces Video

When we were in Milan for the World Championships Jules brought her GoPro along and we thought it would be a good idea to film the trip. After two days we got bored of this and the camera ended up sitting in the room for the rest of the event!

Wow I have been rubbish at keeping you guys updated with what has been going. Well to be honest not that much has been going on… since I got a lovely injury. Here are some of things I have been up to…

Been working out at Lakeside gym.

Got back into playing The Sims.

Went to a wedding.

Went to watch and commentate at the Junior Nationals.

Master Craft Junior Nationals – 2011

The Master Craft 2011 Junior Nationals were a get success. Once again a good amount of riders from all over the country turned up to take part in this National event. The weather man wasn’t 100% correct but he still managed to send us good weather vibes for the nationals the sun came out towards the end of the day it was nice and hot so none of the winter jumpers were needed! Also the wind stayed down and did not get that strong which meant that the course was flat and made it perfect for the Master Craft X2s wake.

The riding level of the groms has really impressed me this year I have noticed that the riders have been out there pushing themselves which has made them more consistent in there contest runs and some of them have learnt some new tricks. So we saw some solid riding and a lot of complete passes.

So once the judges had decided who placed where we had the presentation and the final results turned out like this….

A big big thank you to Quayside Wake and Ski, Master Craft and Wakeboard UK for hosting and/or supporting the Junior Nationals.
